National Communications Manager - Australian Drug Foundation

Senior/Policy Analyst

This role is ideal for an analyst at an intermediate level wanting to extend their skills.  Success in this role is critical to the Drug Foundation’s reputation as a credible and rigorous policy organisation.

Multi-Systemic Alcohol and Other Drug Therapist

This service is a specialised and intensive model of working with ‘at risk’ young people and their families/whanau in the home, school and community. We are looking for a creative, highly motivated and flexible therapist/whanau worker to enjoy our exciting team. Practical experience engaging with families is essential and experience in cognitive behavioural therapy, structural family therapy and behaviourally based therapy is preferred. Experience implementing MST and/or alcohol and drug services would be an advantage.

Applicants should be hardy, happy and have good common sense. Information on providing the MST treatment model can be found on www.mstnz.co.nz

Applicants will also need to be self managing, culturally responsive, computer literate, competent in report writing and the ability to work a flexible schedule and ‘on call’ rotation as this is a 24/7 service.

Relevant tertiary clinical qualification, experience in the mental health/social work field and a desire to be part this innovative and exciting service, is essential.

Community Action on Youth and Drugs - Facilitator

Manakau City Council's dynamic and specialised Youth and Children’s Service is seeking someone who has a passion for community action to work with the Wiri/Ratavine and Randwick communities to address alcohol and drug related issues amongst young people.

Clinical Psychologist - Tamaki Oranga Recovery Centre

Work one-on-one with clients in a private, peaceful setting! Tamaki Oranga is a 20-bed minimally secure inpatient unit with a strong recovery focus.

Clients at Tamaki Oranga primarily have a diagnosis of schizophrenia or an affective disorder, often complicated by drug or alcohol abuse. The position is ideal for a psychologist interested in extending their experience and clinical practice with mental health consumers who have this complex mix of ongoing illness alongside alcohol and drug dependency issues.

Applicants will be working alongside a small multi disciplinary team, committed to providing excellent rehabilitative care using the recovery approach, and strengths model. Ideally, you will enjoy a challenging environment where you feel you can make a difference. The role is stimulating and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills further in this environment. Currently Tamaki Oranga is undergoing an enormous change, moving from an extended-care unit to an intensive recovery focussed unit. As the clinical psychologist at Tamaki Oranga you will be expected to be actively involved in promoting and enabling this change.
