Synthetics incidents need a fast response to reduce further harm.

Communities can set up a response group to co-ordinate with stakeholders and the media. This will help get people the support they need.

Key messages are very important when talking to the media or public

Practical advice and support will help people respond in future incidents. Stigma can be a barrier to people getting help so be careful about the language you use.  

If the information is available, give media and others a description of the dangerous substance and what it smells like so people know what to avoid.
