People who overdid it at the Wellington Sevens last weekend can give their livers a break for the rest of February by signing up to febfast.
“The Sevens is one of the biggest parties in the country and now many people are looking to give their bodies a break,” febfast coordinator Natalia Albert said.
“febfast is the perfect opportunity to push pause on alcohol and reassess your relationship with booze. And you can do a febfast light – 18 days of alcohol free bliss that your bodies and wallet will be grateful for.”
Ms Albert said previous febfasters had reported feeling healthier, having more energy, losing weight, and saving money after completing the 28 days of alcohol free challenge.
“You will be able to see the benefits of taking a month off booze in your life way after febfast is over,” Ms Albert said.
This year febfast will wrap up with a 5km fun run along Wellington’s waterfront starting at Queen Warf at 8:00am on 1 March, with registrations opening at 7:00 am.
Ms Albert said the short run or walk along Wellington’s beautiful water front was the perfect way to wrap up febfast.
“febfasters can enjoy their new found feeling of wellbeing from taking a month of alcohol with a walk or run around the waterfront and back.
“It’s a celebration of how much healthier they’re feeling and how much money we’ll have raised from your generous donations.”
Registrations are still open for any guilty Sevens fans at febfast.org.nz
