New Zealanders are four days away from embarking on the febfast challenge and a chance to feel healthier, win prizes, and help support young people and their families with alcohol and drug problems.
“There are heaps of cool prize for febfasters, we’ve even started giving some away to early registrants,” febfast coordinator Natalia Albert said today.
“This week three lucky winners have received the first prizes. Two pies from Dough Momma and a copy of Not My Family Never My Child by Tony Trimingham, founder of Family Drug Support.
“We will also be giving away Soda Stream sets and Six Barrel Soda syrups, coffee from Peoples Coffee and we will be posting fun Friday febfast mocktails on our website every week throughout the campaign.”
Ms Albert said that there are two fun events coming up this week in Wellington and that she hoped as many people as possible can come along.
“Come join us in the Wellington Railway Station on Friday 31 January at 4:30 pm for a cool Six Barrel Soda drink before heading home and ask the team all the questions you want about the challenge.
“We will also be hosting a free Zumba® Class — with popular Zumbalicious teacher Carolyn Patchell and Paula Hay at 12pm on 1 February at Frank Kitts Park at 12pm to kick off 28 days of alcohol free bliss. It’s a great way to have some fun and get this challenge underway.
“We are also welcoming new febfast friends this week. A big thank you to Camille Guzzwell and Lorna Subritzky! Can’t wait to hear their febfast stories!”
